Connecting QuickBooks
Last updated August 2026
Reeve runs inside Jira as an Atlassian Forge app, so there is no separate website to sign in to. Everything below happens in your own Jira site, which has its own address such as your-company.atlassian.net.
Opening Reeve
In Jira, open Apps in the top navigation and choose Reeve. If you do not see it, an administrator needs to install Reeve from the Atlassian Marketplace first.
After you authorize QuickBooks, Intuit returns you to Reeve inside Jira automatically. You do not need to navigate anywhere yourself.
Connecting or reconnecting QuickBooks
- Open Reeve in Jira, as above.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Find Accounting and choose Connect QuickBooks.
- Sign in to Intuit and pick the QuickBooks company you want to bill from. Intuit asks you to approve access, then sends you back to Reeve.
- Enter your Company ID when Reeve asks for it. QuickBooks does not tell an app which company you authorized, so Reeve confirms it against the company record. You can find the ID in QuickBooks under Settings, then Account and settings, then Billing and subscription.
Reconnecting uses the same steps. Use it if your authorization expires, if you change your Intuit password, or if you want to point Reeve at a different QuickBooks company. Reconnecting replaces the previous authorization.
Disconnecting QuickBooks
You can disconnect from either side, and doing it from either side is enough.
From Reeve
- Open Reeve in Jira.
- Go to Settings, then Accounting.
- Choose Disconnect on the QuickBooks connection.
From QuickBooks
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online and open Settings, then Manage apps. You can also go to apps.intuit.com and open My Apps.
- Find Reeve and choose Disconnect.
What happens to your data
Disconnecting revokes Reeve’s access to your QuickBooks company. The OAuth tokens are held and encrypted by the Atlassian Forge platform and are discarded on disconnect. Reeve stops being able to read from or write to QuickBooks immediately.
Invoices Reeve already pushed stay in QuickBooks, because they are your accounting records. Invoices inside Reeve stay in Reeve. Disconnecting does not delete anything in either system, and you can reconnect later without losing your billing history.
